Since its entry into the smartphone market, Xiaomi rapidly
positioned itself as a leader in the low-cost, high-value segment.
Leveraging its ability to deliver feature-rich products at
competitive prices and innovate at exceptional speed, the company
expanded its footprint into the smart home devices industry and
established a centralized ecosystem where all devices seamlessly
integrate. Now, Xiaomi is undertaking an even bolder initiative by
entering the highly competitive yet rapidly growing electric vehicle
market in China.
The aim of this equity research is to assess whether Xiaomi can
replicate its historical success in this segment. Using a
combination of analysis, forecasting and valuation methods, we
evaluate the impact of this new venture on its stock price,
following the release of its first EVs.
