The gender gap in STEM careers poses significant societal and economic challenges in Mexico.
This feasibility study, conducted during an internship with PYMO Hub, evaluates the potential of
financing a STEM education program in Mexico through a Social Impact Bond (SIB). The
intervention focuses on providing STEM education to public schools in semi-urban areas, aiming
to encourage girls to pursue STEM careers and reduce the gender gap. By analyzing historical
data and developing scenario analyses, the study concludes that the SIB model is viable, capable
of delivering measurable social outcomes. Recommendations for implementation are also
provided.
