Resumo(s)
Lean and Green is a concept developed from the urgent need to address climate issues, and the
common goal of companies for cost reduction and profits increase. The idea is that their
combination yields more benefits than using them separately, making 1+1=3. However, their
successful integration lacks proof. This project aims to address this by analyzing Lean and
Green practices at the wood panel manufacturer Kronospan, detecting processes where waste
in both areas could be reduced, and designing improvement plans. The goal is to increase
Kronospan’s operational efficiency and positive environmental impact, showing the synergies
of combining Lean and Green.
