O desempenho escolar dos estudantes brasileiros nas universidades públicas portuguesas pode ser influenciado por diversos fatores internos ou externos à instituição escolar na qual se encontram, possibilitando um bom ou mau desempenho destes alunos. O presente estudo teve como objetivo crucial conhecer o processo deste mesmo desempenho escolar destes estudantes brasileiros, maioritariamente na Universidade Nova de Lisboa, porém, não se restringindo apenas a esta. Para isso, esta pesquisa assenta em três pilares fundamentais para o seu desenvolvimento e que são: linguagem, construção de identidade e diferenças socioculturais. Assim, foi realizado um inquérito endereçado aos estudantes brasileiros de universidades públicas portuguesas que aceitaram participar voluntariamente nesta pesquisa, por meio eletrônico mediante as respostas do respectivo inquérito online. De um modo geral, a recolha de dados permitiu obter resultados positivos e satisfatórios tanto para os participantes envolvidos como para o atual contexto universitário português.
The academic performance of Brazilian students in public Portuguese universities can be influenced by several factors unrelatd to or directly associated with the educational institution where they are enrolled, thus enabling a good or bad performance from these students. The crucial aim of this study was to get to know this academic performance’s process of these Brazilian students mainly in, but not limited to, the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. To that end, this research is based on three principles fundamental for its development, which are: language, identity development and sociocultural differences. Therefore, it was conducted a survey addressed to Brazilian students attending Portuguese public universities, who accepted to voluntarily take part in the survey. In the aforementioned survey, the data collection was made digitally though the answers presented to the online survey questions. Gennerally speaking, the data colletion allowed to obtain positive and satisfactory results for both the involved participants and the current portuguese university context.
