O presente relatório visa descrever de forma assertiva e crítica os vários passos percorridos enquanto professora estagiária de Inglês e de Espanhol na Escola Secundária Padre António Vieira, no ano letivo de 2014/2015. Tendo em conta a relevância de uma educação intercultural e a inclusão legítima do texto literário na aula de língua estrangeira, foi feita uma revisão literária dos conceitos de identidade, alteridade e literatura, a qual, conjuntamente com as ideias defendidas na teoria da receção do leitor, serviu de base para a planificação das aulas práticas. A utilização de poemas, de contos ou de excertos de narrativas permite não só que os alunos ganhem consciência acerca das suas próprias crenças e estereótipos, como também possibilita o encontro com o Outro.
This report aims to describe in an assertive and critical way the several steps I took as an English and Spanish teacher trainee at Escola Secundária Padre António Vieira, during the academic year of 2014/2015. Taking into account the importance of an intercultural education and the legitimate inclusion of the literary text in the foreign language classroom, a literature review was made of the concepts of identity, otherness and literature, which, along with the ideas upheld by the reader`s response criticism, formed the basis for the lesson plans. Not only does the use of poems, short stories or excerpts of narratives allow students to gain awareness about their own beliefs and stereotypes, but it also enables an encounter with the Other.
