O território africano de língua oficial portuguesa conta a presença de várias rádios internacionais que emitem conteúdos dedicados a esse espaço. Duas delas são a portuguesa RDP África e a francesa RFI África em português, as rádios em análise nesta dissertação. Ao longo deste trabalho as duas estações são comparadas ao nível da informação dos seus noticiários. Quais são as principais semelhanças e diferenças na abordagem dos conteúdos das duas estações? Qual é a que conta com mais notícias sobre a África lusófona? Quem são as intervenientes com mais tempo em antena dos países lusófonos? Estas e outras questões são o mote da análise dos noticiários da RFI África em português e da RDP África que apesar de serem diferentes (devido às suas origens) contam com um fio condutor comum: a língua portuguesa e os países público-alvo (Angola, Cabo Verde, Guiné-Bissau, Moçambique e São Tomé e Príncipe). A lusofonia também é um ponto estudado nesta dissertação já que é ela o ponto comum que as duas estações de rádio possuem. O que é a lusofonia? O que a caracteriza? E como nasceu? São perguntas cuja resposta não é consensual entre os estudiosos.
Portuguese speaking african countries have several international radios in their territories that broadcast information about those nations. Two of them are the Portuguese RDP Africa and the French RFI Africa in Portuguese – two radio stations that will be studied in this dissertation. The news from RDP Africa and RFI will be compared. What are their major similarities and differences? Which of these two stations produces more news about the portuguese speaking african countries? Who are the voices with more time in the news? Those questions will allow the analysis of the news of both radio stations which in spite of being different from each other (they broadcast from two different countries) they also have something in common. They broadcast in Portuguese and have the same audience (Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe). The lusophony is also a subject studied in this dissertation because it is what brings together RDP Africa and RFI together. What’s the lusophony? What defines it? How it was created? These are questions to which the answer is not consensual for the authors who studied them.
