a lecionação no 2.º ciclo.
A segunda parte do relatório
temas sociais relevantes do mundo atual.
This report, entitled Soundscapes as a stimulus for musical creation with Music Education students from de 2nd Cycle of Elementary School, authored by Ana Luísa Ribeiro de Almeida, was developed within the scope of the Supervised Teaching Practice (PES) of the Master’s in Teaching of Music Education in Basic Education at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Nova University of Lisbon. It aims to provide an objective, reflective and critical account of the teaching internship conducted during the 2023/2024 academic year at a private school in the Lisbon metropolitan area. The report is structured into two main sections. The first part provides a characterization of the school context and discusses the observation of classes in the first and second cycles of basic education, as well as the teaching experience in the second cycle. This process includes reflections on teaching methodologies, classroom management, and strategies to motivate students. It also addresses participation in meetings and extracurricular projects. The second section focuses on the implementation of a project based on the concept of Soundscapes, which particularly emphasized creative and instrumental exploration while integrating socially relevant contemporary themes. This project was developed with a 6th grade class over seven classes. Through tools such as the analysis of film excerpts, instrumental exploration, and collective creation, the project sought to promote skills such as critical thinking, artistic sensitivity, and collaboration. The qualitative results, analyzed using journals and questionnaires, revealed a positive impact on the development of students’ creativity, artistic sensitivity, and social awareness. Lastly, the report reflects on the significance of Music Education in students’ musical development, emphasizing the importance of balancing theoretical and practical approaches.
