2023/2024.
Numa primeira fase surge a contextualização
No final,
transversalidade a outras áreas do saber.
This report was written as part of the Supervised Teaching Practice (STP) of the Master’s Degree in Teaching Music Education in Basic Education of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences in Lisbon. This report portrays the work carried out in the context of an internship in a public school in the district of Lisbon, in the school year of 2023/2024. Initially, the report seeks to critically and succinctly describe the entire experience that made up the STP. The first stage is the contextualisation of the public school where the internship took place and an analysis of the pedagogical practice, taking into account the guidelines that apply to the subject of Musical Education. This section also includes a characterisation of the classes, including a description and a reflection on the experience gained with the Specialised Support Unit for Students with Multidisabilities. The analysis and reflection on the observation and teaching components, as well as a description of the participation in projects, events and meetings are also part of this chapter. At the end, there is a critical reflection on the role of the Musical Education teacher, as well as a general critical observation of the pedagogical practice. Next, it is presented the implementation, analysis and reflection of the project based on the theme of Soundscapes. The project and the activities carried out in a 5th grade class, with a focus on musical exploration, improvisation and its interconnection with poems written by the heteronyms of the poet Fernando Pessoa, are portrayed. Using Soundscapes as a stimulus for musical creation and improvisation, this project seeks to reflect on the importance that this theme has, not only in the creative skills of the students, but also in its transversality to other areas of knowledge. Starting with vocal exploration, this project reflects not only on the possibilities that this theme brings with regard to individual musical creation, but also in small groups and in its potential as a pedagogical tool using poetry as the creative material for a musical performance. Once the project’s outputs have been presented and analysed, some considerations are made, as well as the implications for the future of the project.
