Resumo(s)
Burnout is a key concern in high-stress professions such as management consulting, however
its predictors and mitigating factors remain underexplored. Based on quantitative research with
104 management consultants, this study investigates the influence of job demands on burnout,
the mediating effect of work-life balance, and the moderating effect of organizational support.
Results indicate that job demands strongly predict burnout, while work-life balance fully
mediates this relationship, and organizational support moderates it. Practical recommendations
include reducing key job demands and tailoring both work-life balance and organizational
support policies, providing actionable strategies to enhance employee well-being and mitigate
burnout risks.
