Resumo(s)
This thesis explores the evolving role of HR professionals in fostering meaningful work, a
key driver of employee engagement and retention in today's job market. Using a grounded
theory approach, the study identifies how HR’s understanding of meaningful work, combined
with the organizational context, influences their effectiveness and explores the strategies they
employ to foster a meaningful work environment. The research reveals gaps between theory
and practice, emphasizing the need for HR to adopt a more proactive, strategic approach. The
findings contribute to a deeper understanding of HR's potential to integrate meaningful work
into broader organizational strategies.
