This thesis examines the operational and strategic enhancements for Pousadas da Juventude.
It begins by exploring the evolution of hostels and their significance, by looking at current
trends such as sustainability and technology. Relevant future trends such as wellness and
hybrid accomodations are also discussed to understand its potential impact. Next, a thorough
competitive analysis of Pousadas da Juventude within its market. Utilizing SWOT analysis
and strategic mapping, the current position of Pousadas da Juventude is assessed as of lower
quality when compared to the competition. Subsequently, proposed solutions and
implementation strategies are provided, such as focus on event planning and social media
improvements. The conclusion emphasizes the findings that may shape the future landscape
of hostels.
