This work project has the purpose of analyzing if there is an association between ICT adoption
and Total Factor Productivity (TFP) on Portuguese firms. The EU digital transition is described,
along with some literature and the Portuguese framework on the topic, and the individual
analysis use data from Portuguese firms throughout the years 2008-2021, including a wide
range of ICT topics. Overall, results show that there are several different positive and significant
associations between different technologies adopted and TFP, varying on firm size. The study
also poses different limitations that are addressed.
