O presente relatório resulta do trabalho desenvolvido durante o estágio realizado na Biblioteca da Direção de Serviços de Documentação e de Arquivo (DSDA) da Secretaria-Geral do Ministério da Educação e Ciência (SG-MEC), tendo por base o tratamento documental e a análise bibliométrica de uma revista da sua coleção patrimonial – Esmeraldo: política& humanismo –, publicada entre 1954 e 1956 e editada pelo Comissariado Nacional da Mocidade Portuguesa.
Nesse sentido, apresentam-se as opções tomadas quanto à catalogação e indexação dos treze fascículos da revista, ao nível das suas partes componentes – os analíticos –, bem como em relação à análise bibliométrica, realizada através da recolha e tratamento quantitativo dos dados oriundos dos registos bibliográficos acrescentados ao catálogo, através dos seguintes indicadores: a análise de produção, a caracterização da autoria e a classificação temática.
No seguimento da identificação de alguns autores consagrados que publicaram nesta revista, bem como das suas principais temáticas, de marcado interesse histórico relativamente à mensagem cultural e ideológica do Estado Novo, propõem-se algumas estratégias de divulgação dos seus conteúdos junto dos atuais e potenciais utilizadores da Biblioteca.
This report derives from the work performed during the internship at the Documentation and Archiving Services Department Library of Ministry of Education and Science General Secretariat. It is based on the documentation treatment and bibliometric analysis of a magazine from its heritage collection – Esmeraldo: política & humanism -, published between 1954 and 1956 and edited by the National Commissioner of Mocidade Portuguesa. Thus, this work presents decisions made about cataloguing and indexing the thirteen booklets of the magazine, at its components level – the analytics -, as the bibliometric analysis, made through the collection and quantitative processing of data derived from bibliographic registers added to the catalog, through the following indicators: the production analysis, the authorship’s description and the thematic classification of the published articles set. Along the identification of established authors whom published on this magazine, as its main subjects and with considerable historical interest regarding the cultural and ideological message from Estado Novo, some promotion strategies for its contents among the current and potential users of the Library are presented.
