This research investigates the scalability of Green Ventures (GVs) in Germany, with a particular emphasis on the pivotal role of venture capital (VC) in driving growth. A comprehensive
literature review and seventeen semi-structured interviews with senior managers, venture capitalists, and industry experts were conducted to gain insight into the interplay between VC
perspectives, organizational challenges, and the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem. The find ings emphasize the necessity for venture capitalists to integrate sustainability into their
investment strategies and to enhance collaboration among key stakeholders. The introduction
of the Stakeholder Influence on Green Venture Scalability (SIGVS) framework highlights the
crucial roles of venture capitalists, founders, and policymakers, as well as their dynamic interactions, in advancing Green Ventures’ scalability and fostering sustainable growth.
