contexto nacional quanto global. Adicionalmente, a revisão explora a diversidade de estratégias
de resistência, incluindo sindicalismo, movimentos sociais e outras iniciativas.
This study examines the circumstances that drive the mobilization and subsequent demobilization of gig economy workers, focusing on the case of the “Entregadores Antifascistas”. This collective was chosen for its prominent role in protests for better working conditions, particularly between 2020 and 2021, when it led the movement known as the "Breque dos Apps" and gained significant media attention, bringing national focus to the challenges faced by platform delivery workers. The research seeks to understand the factors that contributed to the rise and decline of this movement. The platform economy, characterized by flexible work arrangements and algorithmic control, has led to new forms of labour precarity. App-based delivery workers, such as those studied, face precarious working conditions, including long hours, unstable pay, and a lack of labor rights. Using the process tracing method, this research analyses the key events in the trajectory of the “Entregadores Antifascistas”, from its formation to its demobilization. Hypotheses are tested linking the movement's fragmentation to the coexistence of different political narratives, difficulties in aligning the specific demands of delivery workers with traditional unions, and the media attention that concentrated leadership around a single figure. The literature review connects themes such as labor flexibilization, the platform economy, and the role of algorithms, exploring how these elements shape the experiences and resistance strategies of platform workers, both nationally and globally. It also delves into the diversity of resistance strategies, including unionization, social movements, and other initiatives.
