O trabalho de um diretor de fotografia deve sempre ser o de melhor determinar como
filmar cada cena, cada plano, traduzindo por imagens um guião mais ou menos
determinado. Tratando-se de cinema documental, há uma vasta especificidade de questões
que se colocam devido à imprevisível e súbita natureza do real. Propõe-se refletir acerca
do trabalho de um diretor de fotografia e da sua sensibilidade ao nível do retrato fílmico.
Partindo do método diarístico e da impressão sensível resultante das rodagens de Na
Trafaria, apresentam-se três casos de estudos, correspondentes a três formas distintas de
aproximação ao objeto a retratar.
