Resumo(s)
This thesis addresses three key assumptions about green growth, climate technologies, and
venture capital's alignment with sustainability, which are implicitly held by many stakeholders
in the green venture ecosystem. The main objective is to determine whether the principles of
impact investing can reconcile the aggressive growth targets of venture capital with the
sustainability demands in climate tech. The research identifies challenges and opportunities in
aligning these objectives and suggests strategies to bridge this gap, highlighting the need for
coherent definitions, impact measurement methods, and sheds light on the academic debate on
green growth versus degrowth.
