Resumo(s)
This study evaluates the effects of Finanças Para Todos (FpT), a financial education program in
Portugal, on financial knowledge levels. Our evidence shows that FpT, on average, positively
impacts participants’ levels of financial knowledge. The program is particularly effective for
women, individuals with specific financial goals, and those who perceive their income as
insufficient to cover their living expenses. Despite the positive impacts, limitations of our
analysis include a need for a randomized control trial (RCT), an analysis of the program’s
cost-effectiveness, and a more diverse sample to enhance external validity in the Portuguese
context.
