This study aims to assess the economic viability of installing rooftop photovoltaic panels (PVs) in
Ravello, a town located in the district of Salerno (Campania, Italy). From the perspective of a standard
household, this paper focuses on determining the optimal installing decision in economic terms.
It is noteworthy that the economic analysis reveals promising results across all scenarios considered.
Each installation, involving different PV providers and debt/equity combinations, shows a positive
Net Present Value (NPV): the net financial benefit ranges from a minimum of €7,574 to a maximum
of €12,058, confirming the financial feasibility of potential PV installations in Ravello.
