Phishing remains a significant cyber threat, particularly for the financial services and
healthcare industries, due to their high exposure. This study explored phishing susceptibility
and characteristics at the industry level using feature engineering, machine learning models,
and topic models. The results revealed that the healthcare industry is more susceptible to
phishing than the financial services industry. The most crucial phishing indicator was the
number of total characters in an email, with shorter emails indicating phishing. The number
of call-to-action words in phishing emails is higher in the financial sector and fewer in the
healthcare sector compared to safe emails-
