Resumo(s)
This thesis explores AI's potential in financial, commercial, and ESG due diligence for capital
providers evaluating startups. Interviews with AI and due diligence experts revealed AI's po tential to improve specific due diligence tasks. These tasks are research-intensive, require ex tensive analysis, or follow set steps. Despite challenges like limited data availability and the
need for nuanced judgment, the findings advocate for a hybrid approach where AI supports
human expertise, beginning with simpler tasks and gradually expanding to more complex ones.
This could lower costs and streamline due diligence, allowing more focus on tasks needing
human expertise, thereby improving investment decision quality.
