This thesis examines Nova SBE’s “X-Collider”, an initiative of the Data Science Knowledge
Center. Using qualitative methods, including the Gioia method, it evaluates the initiative's
necessity for research and external actors and discovers a dichotomy between the need for
practical A/B tests and comprehensive research experiments. Findings underscore the
imperative for strategic positioning of X-Collider. The study proposes distinct roles for X Collider in community organization, strategic connection, and experimentation enablement,
stressing the alignment of diverse stakeholder objectives and adaptation to complex
collaborations. Enhancing its role in academia and the industry, these insights inform
recommendations for X-Collider's strategic focus.
