This case study takes the reader to the reality of favelas in Brazil and opens the discussion of
complex problems such as poverty and gender inequality. It follows the journey of Amanda
Oliveira, a social entrepreneur born in a favela, who passionately advocates for women's
empowerment as a key to poverty eradication. As a system leader, Amanda is piloting an
