O presente relatório tem como objetivo explorar a importância da criatividade na montagem cinematográfica, considerando diferentes parâmetros e métodos de edição, bem como a relevância do erro no processo de criação fílmica. A investigação centra-se especialmente na montagem do documentário "Odisseia Nacional" para o Teatro Dona Maria II, examinando os contrastes entre o teatro e o cinema e explorando o conceito de teatro filmado e as suas possíveis abordagens. Esta investigação tem por base a fundamentação teórica identificada na bibliografia, e a realização de um estágio curricular de três meses, na produtora Maus da Fita Film Production. As diversas atividades desenvolvidas no estágio, aplicando os conhecimentos teóricos adquiridos no primeiro ano do Mestrado, permitiram a compreensão do cinema como uma arte colaborativa, bem como a sua relevância na produção cinematográfica contemporânea. São, ainda, considerados os diferentes formatos de montagem, explorando a interseção entre o cinema e o teatro filmado. As experiências, desafios e descobertas enfrentadas durante o estágio curricular, com o intuito de compreender como a prática da montagem se relaciona com a adaptação de elementos teatrais para o meio cinematográfico, são, igualmente, objeto de análise e de reflexão.
This report aims to explore the importance of creativity in film editing, considering dif-ferent parameters and editing methods, as well as the relevance of error in the process of film creation. The research focuses especially on the editing of the documentary "Odisseia Nacional" for the Dona Maria II Theatre, examining the contrasts between theater and cinema and exploring the concept of filmed theater and its possible approaches. This re-search is based on the theoretical foundation identified in the bibliography, and on a three-month internship at the production company Maus da Fita Film Production. The various activities carried out during the internship, applying the theoretical knowledge acquired in the first year of the Master's degree, allowed us to understand cinema as a collaborative art, as well as its relevance in contemporary film production. The different editing formats are also considered, exploring the intersection between cinema and filmed theater. The experiences, challenges and discoveries faced during the internship, with the aim of un-derstanding how the practice of editing relates to the adaptation of theatrical elements for the cinematographic medium, are also the subject of analysis and reflection.
