When low-cost airlines entered the market in the 90s, Alitalia quickly turned from national
pride to economic disaster. Valuation methods are implemented to prove the drastic conditions
of the company, among which DCF, Z-Score, and Comparables. While both the European and
Italian markets were thriving, the airline continued to lose market share and was unable to
regain it. In the following section, a look will be taken at the company's key responsible parties
to understand the extent to which the key players collectively roled a substantial influence in
the company's insolvency, from the mistaken business model to the government role.
