The presented study analyses the possible effects of the acquisition of NOWO by Vodafone
Portugal in September 2022 in NOS SGPS’s future financial performance. It explores the
consequences of the Sprint corporation and T-Mobile’s merger within the United States’
telecommunications sector and assess the possibility of these same impacts being applied to
NOS and to the Portuguese telecommunications sector. The verified changes are then included
in NOS’s discounted cash flow model and together with a scenario and sensitivity analysis it is
possible to conclude that this acquisition may negatively impact NOS SGPS.
