Resumo(s)
This thesis examines the impact of sustainable business models on leveraging sustainable
development, focusing on GreenLeaf, a company dedicated to sustainable cocoa agriculture.
Central to GreenLeaf's strategy are transparency, social entrepreneurship principles, and the
integration of green finance. These elements drive business excellence and actively amplify its
social, environmental and economic impact. The study narrows down to assessing the
investment risk in Amazonian municipalities, considering production, economic,
environmental, and social factors, to identify strategic locations for short- and medium-term
cocoa production. It ends by providing recommendations for implementing sustainable cocoa
business models in the Amazon.
