This master thesis presents a comprehensive study on Equipment-as-a-Service (EaaS) adoption
in the German machinery and manufacturing industry post-COVID-19 and over one year after
the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It assesses EaaS from both provider and customer viewpoints,
including a literature review, analysis of adoption drivers and inhibitors, and success conditions.
By synthesizing literature and expert interviews, the study presents a holistic understanding of
EaaS in the German context, emphasizing the need for provider-customer alignment in EaaS
implementation. It offers key insights and lays a groundwork for future research and policy
development in this emerging area.
