This group project develops a prototype application designed to enhance consumer transparency in
supermarket pricing. The core purpose of SmartCart is to address the prevalent issue of opaque
pricing mechanisms.
A comprehensive market analysis identifies key features desired by consumers. Subsequently, agile
software development principles guide the prototype creation, incorporating real-time data scraping
algorithms. A business model and organizational strategy were developed with integration of
market analysis to ensure alignment with long-term vision and operational goals.
Key findings demonstrate that SmartCart successfully provides users with timely and accurate price
comparisons across multiple supermarkets. Usability tests also indicate high user satisfaction.
