Resumo(s)
While being a minority in the business environment, large enterprises contribute around 40%
to Portugal's total gross value added. This study investigates the effect of advanced digital
technologies – cloud computing, big data, and AI – on total factor productivity (TFP). A
statistically significant effect is not found between single technologies and TFP. However, the
simultaneous adoption of multiple technologies is significantly and positively associated with
TFP. This research ends by describing the main study limitations and with recommendations
for further research on this topic.
