Resumo(s)
This paper investigates the dynamics of artificial intelligence in Europe, focusing on its
adoption and impact on firm performance and sectoral change in the construction and
manufacturing sectors. AI adoption patterns and performance indicators are examined in two
European business and industry datasets. A comprehensive analysis generates companies and
industries with different degrees of AI integration and compares their performance. Multiple
regression models show that AI adoption improves firm performance. AI adoption improves
construction efficiency, cost, and safety, but manufacturing demand for AI-driven processes
like robotics and precision engineering rises. The findings show AI's transformative power and
impact on the European industry's global competitiveness.
