HubSpot's in-house creative department, known for its high-quality marketing and brand
content, is seeking to improve its ways of working. Here, the role of project managers, program
managers, and producers is crucial in facilitating collaboration and effective teamwork.
However, leadership currently lacks clarity regarding the required project management
competencies for these roles and how to foster their development. This research explores the
necessary competencies in managing diverse projects and offers insights into systematically
developing competencies in fast-paced companies like HubSpot. Ultimately, it aims to serve
as a research base for similar companies to strategically integrate role-specific competence
development.
