Resumo(s)
Advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) allow the transition of such technologies from
tools to teammates. Given the importance of trust in technology and teams, I explored team
trust processes in human-AI teams. The mediating role of team trust in the relationship
between team composition (human-AI vs. human-only teams) and team performance with
propensity to trust intelligent technologies as moderator were investigated. An experiment
with 84 two-member teams was conducted. Results indicated that human-AI teams performed
lower than human-only teams but without significant differences in team trust. The
moderation and mediation relationships were not supported. Directions for further research
are discussed.
