Resumo(s)
This report assesses Encavis AG, an independent power producer based in Germany, with the
main goal of achieving a reliable advice for possible investors interested in the company. For that
it comprises an in-depth analysis of the company macroeconomic environment and its main core
drivers. As the biggest CO2 emitter, the energy sector has been widely looked at and incentivised
to act. Governments played a critical role, through FiTs and target settlements, as the initial motor
for renewables to develop and establish a competitive position. Our analysis identifies 5 main
value drivers to the company’s business model. Namely being the available production capacity,
load factors, energy prices, LCOE and the possibility of repowering. As those factors are
thoroughly analyzed we came with future projections of them, which we used in order to forecast
the business actitivities. We identified that elevated market prices with high volatility impose the
biggest risk for deviations from our model. Our valuation shows that Encavis has high potential
to become one of the leaders driving Europes energy transition.
