O presente relatório é fruto do estágio curricular realizado na Embaixada de Portugal junto da Santa Sé e da Ordem Soberana e Militar de Malta, no âmbito do Programa de Estágios Curriculares do Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros (PECMNE). O trabalho desenvolvido no Posto centrou-se, em particular, na análise da imprensa italiana e vaticanista, na produção de relatórios e sínteses das conferências assistidas e, não menos importante, na condução de breves pesquisas. Adicionalmente, este documento abarca uma componente teórica de revisão histórica e filosófica sobre a disciplina Relações Internacionais e laços diplomáticos entre Portugal e a Sé Apostólica, com especial ênfase nos períodos ulteriores à queda do regime monárquico português até aos dias de hoje. Após uma caraterização da instituição e devida equipa, segue a avaliação final da experiência.
This report is the result of a curricular internship at the Portuguese Embassy to the Holy See and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, as part of the Curricular Internship Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (PECMNE). The work conducted at the Office focused on analyzing the Italian and Vatican press, producing reports and summaries of the conferences attended and, not least, conducting brief research. In addition, this document includes a theoretical, historical and philosophical review of the subject of International Relations and diplomatic ties between Portugal and the Apostolic See, with special emphasis on the periods following the fall of the Portuguese monarchical regime up to the present day. After a characterization of the institution and the team, the final evaluation of the experience follows.
