Ao longo deste trabalho, iremos tentar perceber como podem as obras de Beethoven ser um contributo para a disciplina de Filosofia da História. Mais especificamente, que a Nona Sinfonia é um diálogo que Beethoven estabelece com Hegel, para comentar o fim da história. Com esta obra sempre em mente, iremos percorrer a filosofia da história de Hegel, identificando os seus elementos principais, para chegar à conclusão de que Beethoven discordava com ele. Misturando mundividências, dados biográficos, fontes primárias e secundárias, com um pouco de especulação, chegaremos à conclusão de que a opinião de Beethoven seria tornar Kant o passo seguinte a Hegel.
Throughout this work, we will try to understand how Beethoven's works can be a contribution to the discipline of Philosophy of History. More specifically, that the Ninth Symphony is a dialogue that Beethoven establishes with Hegel, to comment on the end of history. With this composition always in mind, we will go through Hegel's philosophy of history, identifying its main elements, to reach the conclusion that Beethoven disagreed with him. Mixing worldly evidence, biographical data, primary and secondary sources, with a little speculation, we will conclude that Beethoven's opinion would be to make Kant the next step from Hegel.
