A presente investigação analisa o processo de desenvolvimento do Kindle na China ao longo de uma década, bem como as razões por trás da sua retirada do mercado chinês. Além disso, examina as mudanças e o impacto que o Kindle trouxe ao mercado chinês no âmbito dos livros digitais. Por sua vez, a plataforma de livros digitais da Amazon China é uma das mais reconhecidas no mercado de livros digitais na China, possuindo um vasto número de utilizadores. O estudo das dificuldades enfrentadas pelo Kindle na China pode fornecer informações valiosas para o desenvolvimento das empresas chinesas de livros digitais no mercado nacional e internacional.
This thesis analyzes the development process of Kindle in China over a decade, as well as the reasons behind its withdrawal from the Chinese market. Additionally, it examines the changes and impacts that Kindle brought to the Chinese e-book market. Meanwhile, Amazon China's e-books constitute one of the most recognized platforms in the Chinese e-book market, with a vast user base. Studying the challenges faced by Kindle in China can provide valuable insights for the development of Chinese ebooks companies in both the domestic and international markets.
