O presente Relatório de Estágio visa detalhar as atividades realizadas durante o estágio curricular na Tradinter, Lda., com foco principal na tradução certificada em Portugal. Este relatório aprofunda a componente prática do estágio, complementada por investigação teórica a respeito da área da tradução que correspondeu ao maior número de projetos realizados, a tradução jurídica, em particular, a tradução certificada em notário. Tendo a experiência de estágio como base de estudo, bem como diversas obras relevantes e a comparação com outros países, todo o enquadramento teórico deste trabalho culmina numa reflexão crítica em que se identifica as anomalias na tradução oficial em Portugal, propondo soluções para as mesmas. Este relatório é realizado numa perspetiva de gestão de risco, tendo como público-alvo os novos tradutores e outros investigadores na área, demonstrando por que razões a tradução certificada é das tarefas mais visíveis do tradutor e, simultaneamente, a área em que o tradutor tem menos visibilidade, explanando o que deve ser feito para alterar esta realidade preocupante.
This report aims to detail the activities carried out during my internship at Tradinter, Lda, with focus on certified translation. It delves into the practical component of the internship, complemented by theoretical research into the area of translation that accounted for the largest number of projects carried out, legal translation, in particular certified notary translation. Taking the internship experience as a basis for study, as well as various relevant works and comparisons with other countries, the entire theoretical framework of this work culminates in a critical reflection in which anomalies in official translation in Portugal are identified and solutions proposed. This report is carried out from a risk management perspective, targeting new translators and other researchers in the field, demonstrating why certified translation is one of the translator's most visible tasks and, at the same time, the area in which the translator has the least visibility, explaining what must be achieved in order to change this troubling reality.
