Neste relatório, é apresentada a experiência de trabalho e de pesquisa durante o estágio realizado na Associação de Músicos, Artistas e Editoras Independentes (AMAEI), que decorreu entre setembro de 2022 e junho de 2023. A experiência de campo (trabalho de arquivo, participação em eventos e feiras, workshops, projetos europeus) e a aplicação de metodologias de análise (recolha de documentação multimédia, entrevistas, questionário) possibilitaram um conhecimento mais aprofundado do fenómeno cultural da música
independente, através do papel de liderança desempenhado pela AMAEI no setor. O confronto com a literatura científica sobre o assunto forneceu enquadramentos teóricos e sugestões comparativas úteis para enquadrar o fenómeno estudado.
This report illustrates the work and research experience during my internship at the Portuguese Association of Musicians Independent Artists and Labels (AMAEI), which took place between September 2022 and June 2023. The on-field experience (archival work, participation in events and fairs, workshops, European projects) and the application of analytical methodologies (collection of multimedia documentation, interviews, questionnaire) have allowed for a deeper understanding of the cultural phenomenon of independent music, through the leading role played by AMAEI in the sector. The comparison with the scientific literature on the subject has provided theoretical frameworks and useful comparative insights to frame the studied phenomenon.
