O digital veio para ficar, e, como tal é preciso que todos os cidadãos tenham direito ao seu acesso. A acessibilidade é um direito por lei, o que permite que pessoas com deficiência consigam ter o direito às mesmas informações. O presente relatório, escrito no âmbito do Mestrado em Novos Media e Práticas Web da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, tem como objetivo conjugar a experiência do estágio curricular de 3 meses no Jornal Público, com uma análise da Acessibilidade Digital nas reportagens e vídeos de atualidade publicados no website e redes sociais do mesmo jornal e perceber que técnicas são utilizadas para que a informação seja passada na sua totalidade, de maneira correta.
Digital is here to stay; therefore everyone must have the right to access it. Accessibility is a right by law, which allows people with disabilities to have the right to access the same information. This report, written as part of the Master in New Media and Web Practices of the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, has the goal of combining the experience of the 3-month internship at Jornal Público, with an analysis of Digital Accessibility in news reports and videos published on the newspaper's website and social networks, and to understand what techniques are used to ensure that the information is passed in its totality, correctly.
