O presente relatório de estágio descreve a minha experiência profissional na empresa SPELL Translation Solutions, Lda., enquanto revisora de legendagem interlinguística (inglês-português europeu). Dividido em cinco capítulos, o relatório pretende contribuir para a compreensão de como funciona a revisão na área da legendagem, abordando tópicos relacionados com a qualidade da legendagem e críticas à mesma, o papel do revisor e a importância da formação. Procuro também expor e analisar questões linguísticas e técnicas, recorrendo à categorização do modelo FAR de Jan Pedersen (2017), ao qual foram feitas algumas adaptações, que serão descritas no relatório.
This internship report aims to describe my professional experience at SPELL Translation Solutions, Lda. as a reviser of interlingual subtitles (English-European Portuguese). Divided into five chapters, the report seeks to contribute to the understanding of how revision works in the field of subtitling by addressing topics related to the quality of subtitling and its criticism, the role of the reviser, and the importance of training. I also seek to expose and analyze linguistic and technical issues, using the categorization of Jan Pedersen's (2017) FAR model, to which some adaptations have been made that will be described in the report.
