Projeto eTwinning no ensino básico da Geografia. Aprendizagem baseada em projetos para o desenvolvimento de competências dos alunos do 8ºano

A resposta aos desafios gerados pela sociedade do século XXI começa nas salas de aula. Assim, permanece uma necessidade contínua em adaptar as práticas educativas. A constante evolução é acompanhada pelos alunos, que encontram nas metodologias ativas a chave para a sua aprendizagem. O presente relatório destaca o eTwinning enquanto estratégia de desenvolvimento das Aprendizagens Essenciais (AE)
de Geografia e, competências do Perfil dos Alunos à Saída da Escolaridade Obrigatória (PASEO). Integra ainda a Estratégia Nacional de Educação para a Cidadania (ENEC). Considerando os documentos curriculares em vigor, pretende-se demonstrar a relevância desta ação na construção de ambientes de aprendizagem autênticos e significativos. Com recurso às tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TIC), privilegia-se a colaboração e partilha de práticas educativas entre escolas europeias. Tendo como base metodológica a Aprendizagem Baseada em Projetos (ABP), potencia-se a construção do próprio saber e a motivação no envolvimento das tarefas, com o propósito de se obter um produto final. A partir do tema “Diversidade Cultural”, foi aplicado um projeto eTwinning no 8ºano. A análise dos resultados e do feedback dos alunos permitiu concluir que o eTwinning impulsiona mudanças significativas nas aulas de Geografia, tanto no âmbito intercultural como no desenvolvimento de competências geográficas. Além de ser uma mais-valia na aprendizagem dos alunos,
constitui-se igualmente vantajosa para o professor no processo de ensino. Esta ação educativa europeia desperta os alunos para o mundo que os rodeia, na ótica de uma cidadania territorial e digital mais ativa.
The solution to the challenges presented by our 21st century society begins in the classrooms. Thus, there remains a continuing need to adapt educational practices. The constant evolution is accompanied by the students, who find in active methodologies the the key to their learning. The following report highlights eTwinning as a strategy for developing the Essential Learnings (AE) of Geography and skills of the Students Profile at the End of Mandatory Schooling (PASEO). It is also part of the National Education Strategy for Citizenship (ENEC). Considering the current curricular documents, it is intended to demonstrate the importance of this action in the creation of authentic and meaningful learning environments. Using information and communication technologies (TIC), the collaboration and sharing of educational practices between European schools is emphasized. The methodology basis is Project Based Learning (PBL), which promotes the construction of knowledge and the motivation in the involvement of tasks with the aim of creating a final product. Based on the theme of “Cultural Diversity”, an eTwinning project was applied to the 8th grade. From the analysis of the results and student feedback, it is concluded that eTwinning drives significant changes in Geography classes, both in an intercultural aspect and in the development of geographic skills. In addition to being an asset in student learning, it is also advantageous for the teacher in the teaching process. This European educational activity awakens students to the world around them, from the perspective of a more active territorial and digital citizenship.
