Radiation therapy technologists (RTTs) have been leaving the profession massively the last few years. It is necessary to understand team requirements in each department in order to improve work conditions. The aim is to understand the team perspective, to redefine the job and work conditions, but keep it aligned with the motives, passions and strengths thus empowering the team to do their best. The patients deserve the best care, but the staff cannot be forgotten. Even with the best technology that the RT departments could have, this will never be a substitution for the RTTs
