O presente trabalho incide sobre o estágio curricular realizado entre outubro de 2021 e abril de 2022 na Embaixada e Missão Permanente de Portugal às Nações Unidas e outras Organizações Internacionais em Viena. No âmbito da conclusão da componente não letiva do Mestrado em Ciência Política e Relações Internacionais pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, a primeira parte deste relatório irá refletir sobre as atividades realizadas durante o estágio, informação precedida
por um breve enquadramento da representação diplomática portuguesa a nível bilateral e multilateral na Áustria. De seguida, e considerando a componente teórica sustentada pelo estágio realizado, a segunda parte deste relatório irá incidir-se sobre o regime internacional de não-proliferação nuclear e o paradigma apresentado no Indo-Pacífico, considerado o novo centro geopolítico e geoestratégico do mundo.
This paper focuses on the internship carried out between October 2021 and April 2022 at the Portuguese Embassy and Permanent Mission to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Vienna. As part of the completion of the master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Nova University of Lisbon, the first component of this report will reflect on the activities undertaken during the internship, information preceded by a brief framework of the Portuguese diplomatic representation at a bilateral and multilateral level in Austria. Finally, and considering the theoretical component sustained by the internship, the second part of this report will focus on the international nuclear non-proliferation regime and the paradigm presented in the Indo-Pacific, considered as the new geopolitical and geostrategic center of the world.
