O presente relatório descreve maioritariamente, as tarefas desempenhadas no decurso do estágio realizado no estúdio Namouche, que teve como principal propósito o estudo da função do produtor musical durante a gravação de um tema musical. Inclui-se ainda uma descrição do estúdio, assim como dos equipamentos utilizados durante o estágio. Devido à sua abrangência, as funções do produtor musical são frequentemente
subestimadas ou confundidas com as de outros profissionais que colaboram no processo de gravação de um tema musical. Por isto, neste documento procura-se compreender qual o papel do produtor numa sessão de gravação. Para isto, descrevem-se as atividades desempenhadas durante as sessões de gravação, abordando alguns conceitos técnicos como técnicas de posicionamento de microfones e processamento de sinal. Procurou-se ainda fazer uma reflexão crítica acerca dos conteúdos abordados, do trabalho desenvolvido durante o estágio e do trabalho do produtor observado durante as sessões de gravação.
This document mostly describes the tasks performed during an internship at Namouche studio, whose main purpose was to study the role of the music producer during the recording of a musical piece. It also includes a description of the studio and the equipment used during the internship. Due to its scope, the functions of the music producer are often underestimated or confused with those of other professionals involved in the process of recording a musical piece. Therefore, this document seeks to understand the role of the producer in a recording session. To achieve this, the activities carried out during the recording sessions are described, covering some technical concepts such as microphone positioning techniques and signal processing. Additionally, a critical reflection is made about the contents addressed, the work developed during the internship, and the work of the producer observed during the recording sessions.
