Este projeto tem como um dos seus principais objetivos responder a desafios da contemporaneidade, alicerçado em autores e temáticas da história da arte contemporânea e por meio da introdução dos princípios de um novo lugar designado ESPAÇO C.R.U.A.. Este espaço ambiciona poder criar uma estrutura transdisciplinar que coloca em relação as práticas artísticas e o conceito de participação no sentido de
potenciar sinergias/diálogos entre artistas e comunidades, baseados numa programação de residências artísticas direcionada para a criação contemporânea. No vetor sociocultural pretende-se criar condições para que a promoção de projetos regulares entre este polo cultural e as comunidades escolares e associativas locais se desenvolva de forma a que tal relação possa contribuir para uma maior expressão de estruturas de carácter semelhante e isso se reflita na qualidade de vida das populações locais.
One of this project’s main goals is to answer contemporary challenges, based on some of History of Art’s contemporary authors and themes, and through the introduction of values in a new cultural space called ESPAÇO C.R.U.A.. This space aims to create a transdisciplinary structure where artistic practices/performances and the concept of participation potentiate the dialogue and a synergetic relationship between artists and the communities, through an artistic residencies program focused on contemporary artists. From a sociocultural point of view, the goal is to create a bridge between this cultural center and the local communities (schools, local associations, etc.), so that this relationship can enrich both, ultimately improving the quality of life of the local communities and the quality of the art produced in ESPAÇO C.R.U.A.
