The current concerns of young Europeans with the values of the cultural, social, political and economical systems they are part of, demonstrate the commitment to explore a more open social movement. The European Youth Parliament (EYP), with its pedagogical and singular character, activates notions such as the construction of “safe spaces”, of future and of “democracy”. Through a collaborative and reflective ethnography of the soundscape of the sessions organised by this youth project, I plan to present the interactions between the expressive practices and the processes of democratisation among the participants in the EYP events. Since there is room for interand multidisciplinarity, I am also presenting a proposal of analysis of how EYP might promote a dynamisation of collective sensibility, with real and sagacious engagement among its members. With this research project, I am aiming to enhance how music and sound can reveal aspects of the environment, interaction and heterogeneity among the young participants in the EYP sessions. It will be pertinent, thus, to present and activate the possibilities of artistic and musical practices for the interpretation of their social, cultural and political contexts — allowing space for creativity in the processes of deconstruction, and consequent creation of knowledge.
