This work project presents the chances and challenges of implementing AI-applications in the
German nursing sector. Based on expert interviews in the nursing field, three themes were
identified and outlined current issues within the German nursing sector, possible AI
applications, and the impact implementing these. The results reveal that AI offers the
potential to counteract current issues by including this technology as a part of the
multidisciplinary nursing team. Based on the findings, data analysis, and practical
implications, it highlights factors that need to be considered when implementing AI in a
nursing facility to be better prepared and adapt accordingly.
