The present Work Project outlines the development process of a robust and comprehensive
Management Control System for the Portuguese niche perfumery company COMPORTA
PERFUMES. The created tailored system is composed of five Microsoft Excel models and, by
leveraging the automation of complex processes, aims to assist management to understand the
causes of its current underperformance while supporting future operational, strategic, and
financial decision-making. The first individual component of this Work Project consisted in
the development of an appropriate costing system to correctly trace costs to COMPORTA's
products, providing an insightful tool to analyse profitability
