Resumo(s)
Entrepreneurship is one of the most dynamic features of modern economies and is an essential
driver of growth. Still, significantly fewer women than men are founding new businesses today,
and research has shown that they receive less capital from investors than male entrepreneurs.
Gender bias could explain the apparent disadvantage of female entrepreneurs. This study
presents a framework to explore further the effects and driving forces that lead female
entrepreneurs to receive less VC funding. The objective is to aid women in leveling the playing
field between female and male entrepreneurs
